I recently saw a video on the local news of Sea Turtles making their way to out crystal clear waters of the Emerald Coast. Each year our area is considered a major conservation area for Sea Turtles. Did you know that only 1 out of 1,000 sea turtles make it to maturity??? Which is age 25?? What are you doing to help them out? South Walton has banned plastic straws, and always be sure to cut up the plastic around gatorade packs as well! Recently the volunteers of St. Andrews Watch checked to count a batch of eggs that were hatching and guided them to safe waters. What else can we do to help these cute guys out? Do you have any tips or experiences you would like to share?
